Abstract
A UWB radar device and method of operating, the radar device: determining determines localization information of at least one UWB target device relative to the UWB radar device and, based on the determined localization information, switching the UWB radar device is switched into a radar mode, wherein an alignment of a beam of the UWB radar device in the radar mode to the at least one UWB target device is done by using the localization information.
Claims21
Method of operating a UWB radar device, comprising the steps:
- determining localization information of at least one UWB target device relative to the UWB radar device and, based on the determined localization information;
- switching the UWB radar device into a radar mode, wherein an alignment of a beam of the UWB radar device in the radar mode to the at least one UWB target device is done by using the localization information.
UWB radar device, comprising:
- an antenna array;
- a localization element being functionally connected to the antenna array for obtaining localization information of at least one UWB target device;
- and
- an initialization element, functionally connected to the localization element, for switching the UWB radar device into a radar mode and, based on the determined localization information, aligning a beam of the UWB radar device to the at least one UWB target device.
