Abstract
A faucet having a base that is mountable to a support, a spout moveably coupled to the base and having an outlet for dispensing water, and a valve that controls a flow of water to an outlet, where the valve is opened in response to the spout being moved relative to the base to a first position, and the valve is closed in response to the spout being moved relative to the base from the first position toward a second position.
Claims20
A faucet comprising:
- a base mountable to a support;
- and
- a spout rotatably coupled to the base and having an outlet for dispensing water,
- wherein the spout is configured to be rotated about a rotation axis between a first position and a second position,
- wherein when the spout is rotated beyond a predetermined degree of rotation from the from the first position toward the second position, the spout automatically rotates to the second position.

A faucet comprising:
- a base portion, the base portion having a first base end and a second base end, the first base end being mountable to a support, and the second base end being opposite the first base end;
- an end portion having a first end operably coupled to the second base end, the end portion being movable relative to the base,
- wherein the base further comprises a fluid outlet proximate to the second base end, and wherein a first movement of the end portion relative to the base portion shifts the faucet between a non-use position in which no fluid is discharged from the fluid outlet, and a use-position in which fluid is discharged from the fluid outlet.
A faucet comprising:
- a base mountable to a support, the base including an upper portion and a lower portion;
- and
- a spout rotatably coupled to an end of the upper portion of the base and having an outlet for dispensing water,
- wherein the lower portion of the base is rotatable relative to the upper portion to control at least one characteristic of the water being dispensed.
