Abstract
The present disclosure concerns coated particles of an oxygenated zinc compound, comprising a core at least partially coated by at least one coating layer; wherein said core comprises at least one compound OZ and said at least one coating layer comprises an organic material having a Hildebrand solubility parameter comprised between 10 (MPa)1/2 and 21 (MPa)1/2.
Claims15
A coated particles of an oxygenated zinc compound, comprising a core at least partially coated by at least one coating layer;
- wherein the core comprises at least one oxygenated zinc compound and the at least one coating layer comprises an organic material having a Hildebrand solubility parameter comprised between 10 (MPa)1/2 and 21 (MPa)1/2 and wherein the coated particles have a D10 of at least 1 μm, preferably of at least 1.3 μm, more preferably of at least 1.4 μm, even more preferably of at least 1.5 μm, even more preferably of at least 2 μm.
A process for forming coated particles of a oxygenated zinc compound, the coated particles comprising a core comprising the oxygenated zinc compound at least partially coated by at least one coating layer comprising an organic material, the process comprising the steps of:
- mixing particles of at least one oxygenated zine compound with at least one organic material wherein the at least one organic material has a Hildebrand solubility parameter comprised between 10 MPa1/2 and 21 MPa1/2, at a temperature equal or greater than a congealing point of the at least one organic material, thereby forming a mixture (M);
- and
- solidifying the mixture (M), thereby forming said coated particles.
