Abstract
The invention comprises a product. The product comprises a carbonation aid or a microporous material and basaltic hyaloclastite or intermediate basaltic hyaloclastite, wherein the carbonation aid facilitates the conversion of one or more of CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O or FeO to a carbonate or a CO3 containing mineral in the presence of CO2 and wherein one or more of the carbonation aid, the microporous material, the basaltic hyaloclastite or intermediate basaltic hyaloclastite have carbon dioxide bound thereto at a concentration greater than its atmospheric concentration.

A product comprising:
- a carbonation aid and basaltic hyaloclastite or intermediate basaltic hyaloclastite, wherein the carbonation aid facilitates the conversion of one or more of CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O or FeO to a carbonate or a CO3 containing mineral in the presence of CO2;
- and
- wherein one or more of the carbonation aid, the basaltic hyaloclastite or intermediate basaltic hyaloclastite have carbon dioxide bound thereto at a concentration greater than its atmospheric concentration.
A product comprising:
- a carbon dioxide sorbent microporous material and a basaltic hyaloclastite or intermediate basaltic hyaloclastite, wherein the carbon dioxide sorbent microporous material facilitates the conversion of one or more of CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O or FeO to a carbonate or a CO3 containing mineral in the presence of CO2, and
- wherein one or more of the carbon dioxide sorbent microporous material, the basaltic hyaloclastite or intermediate basaltic hyaloclastite have carbon dioxide bound thereto at a concentration greater than its atmospheric concentration.
