Abstract
A method for mounting an air vent in an instrument panel of a vehicle. Provided is also an air vent for use in a vehicle, an instrument panel for use in a vehicle and a vehicle comprising at least one air vent and at least one instrument panel.
Claims14
A method to mount an air vent in an instrument panel of a vehicle, the method comprising:
- at least partial insertion of the air vent into a mounting opening of the instrument panel along a first mounting direction, the mounting opening being limited, at least in sections, by an upper part of the instrument panel;
- displacing the air vent along a second mounting direction different from the first mounting direction or a direction of the upper part of the instrument panel so that a flow housing of the air vent is concealed, at least in sections, by the upper part of the instrument panel, or rotating the air vent about an axis of rotation in the direction of the upper part of the instrument panel so that the flow housing of the air vent is concealed, at least in sections, by the upper part of the instrument panel;
- centering the air vent on the instrument panel;
- and
- fixing the position of the air vent relative to the instrument panel.

- a flow housing;
- at least one vent opening;
- and
- at least one centering agent to center the air vent on an instrument panel of the vehicle, the at least one centering agent is formed on the air vent or the flow housing of the air vent.
