Abstract
A method for producing a multilayer laminar product includes the operations of providing a laminar support, covering a first face of the laminar support with a first covering layer in a polymer resin and consolidating, at least partially, the covering layer. The method further envisages providing, above the first covering layer, a laminar element free of any protective film. The method further envisages pushing an embossed surface against the first covering layer with interposition of the laminar element and causing the polymerization of the first covering layer.
Claims11
A method for producing a multilayer laminar product, comprising the following operations:
- providing a laminar support, said laminar support being a leather or a fabric;
- covering a first face of said laminar support with a first covering layer in a polymer resin, said covering operation providing for covering said first face with an amount of said first covering layer between 2 and 20 grams per square foot;
- consolidating, at least partially, said first covering layer, said consolidation step providing for reducing the weight per square foot of said first covering layer downstream of said consolidation by a percentage between 35% and 55% with respect to the weight per square foot of said first covering layer upstream of said consolidation;
- providing a laminar element above said first covering layer, said laminar element being of a material chosen from polyethylene, nylon or polyester with a thickness between 5 microns and 50 microns, said laminar element having a smooth surface, said laminar element also being free of any protective film at its surface adapted to be facing said first covering layer;
- pushing an embossed surface against said first covering layer with interposition of said laminar element to imprint on said first covering layer the pattern of said embossed surface;
- after imprinting said pattern, causing the polymerization of said first covering layer to obtain a stabilized covering layer.
(canceled)
A plant for producing a multilayer laminar product, comprising in sequence, according to an advancement direction (X):
- a first feed device for advancing a laminar support at a predetermined advancement speed;
- a first applicator assembly for covering a first face of said laminar support with a first covering layer in a polymer resin, said first applicator assembly being configured for covering said first face with an amount of said first covering layer between 2 and 20 grams per square foot;
- a first heater configured to consolidate, at least partially, said first covering layer, said first heater being configured for reducing the weight per square foot of said first covering layer downstream of said consolidation by a percentage between 35% and 55% with respect to the weight per square foot of said first covering layer upstream of said consolidation;
- a second feed device for advancing a laminar element at a speed corresponding to said advancement speed, said laminar element being of a material chosen from polyethylene, nylon or polyester with a thickness between 5 microns and 50 microns, said laminar element having a smooth surface, said laminar element also being free of any protective film at its surface adapted to be facing said first covering layer;
- a thrust assembly comprising an embossed surface arranged downstream of said first heater, configured to push said embossed surface against said first covering layer, with interposition of said laminar element, so as to imprint on said first covering layer the pattern of said embossed surface;
- a treatment assembly arranged downstream of said thrust assembly, configured to cause the polymerization of said first covering layer.
