### Claim 21

A method for (i) preventing and/or treating a lung injury and/or (ii) reducing a quantity of neutrophils, comprising:
administering annexin at a dose of 0.2-5 mg/kg to a subject, wherein the subject is a human or a non-human mammal.

### Claim 22 (depends on 21)

The method of claim 21, wherein the annexin comprises annexin A5.

### Claim 23 (depends on 21)

The method of claim 21, wherein the lung injury is selected from a group consisting of: an acute lung injury, a respiratory distress syndrome, and a combination thereof.

### Claim 24 (depends on 21)

The method of claim 21, wherein the lung injury is caused by an increase of neutrophils; and/or wherein the lung injury is caused by a cytokine storm.

### Claim 25 (depends on 24)

The method of claim 24, wherein the neutrophils comprise neutrophils in the lung.

### Claim 26 (depends on 24)

The method of claim 24, wherein the cytokine storm comprises a cytokine storm in the lung.

### Claim 27 (depends on 21)

The method of claim 21, wherein the preventing and/or treating a lung injury comprises one or more features selected from the following group consisting of: (i) increasing a survival rate; (ii) increasing the blood gas PO2 and/or sO2% indicators; (iii) reducing the pulmonary inflammation; (iv) reducing the inflammatory factors in the serum; (v) improving the degree of lung tissue lesions; and (vi) decreasing the wet/dry ratio of the lung.

### Claim 28 (depends on 21)

The method of claim 21, wherein the subject is a human with an increase in the quantity of neutrophils; the increase in the quantity of neutrophils refers to a higher quantity of neutrophils A1 in the subject than a quantity of neutrophils A0 in a normal subject; and, A1/A0≥1.1.

### Claim 29 (depends on 27)

The method of claim 27, wherein the reducing the pulmonary inflammation is implemented by one or more pathways selected from the following group consisting of: (iii-1) reducing pulmonary inflammatory factors; (iii-2) reducing pulmonary white blood cells; and (iii-3) reducing pulmonary total proteins.

### Claim 30 (depends on 29)

The method of claim 29, wherein the pulmonary inflammatory factors comprise TNF-α, IL-10, IL-6, and/or IL-1β.

### Claim 31 (depends on 29)

The method of claim 29, wherein the pulmonary white blood cells comprise white blood cells, neutrophils, lymphocytes, and monocytes.

### Claim 32 (depends on 29)

The method of claim 29, wherein the reducing pulmonary inflammatory factors refers to a lower quantity of pulmonary inflammatory factors (E1) of an administrated subject than a quantity of inflammatory factors (E0) of a lung injury subject; and E0/E1≥10.

### Claim 33 (depends on 29)

The method of claim 29, wherein the reducing white blood cells refers to a lower quantity of white blood cells (F1) of the administrated subject than a quantity of white blood cells (F0) of the lung injury subject; and F0/F1≥3.

### Claim 34 (depends on 29)

The method of claim 29, wherein the reducing pulmonary total proteins refers to a lower quantity of total proteins (H1) of the administered subject than a quantity of total proteins (H0) of the lung injury subject; and H0/H1≥2.

### Claim 35 (depends on 29)

The method of claim 29, wherein the inflammatory factors in the serum comprise TNF-α, IL-10, IL-6, and/or IL-1β.

### Claim 36 (depends on 27)

The method of claim 27, wherein the reducing the inflammatory factors in the serum refers to a lower quantity of inflammatory factors (J1) in the serum of the subject than a quantity of inflammatory factors (J0) in the lung injury subject; and J0/J1≥20.

### Claim 37 (depends on 21)

The method of claim 21, further comprising another medication selected from a group consisting of: a glucocorticoid, a vitamin, and a combination thereof.

### Claim 38 (depends on 21)

The method of claim 21, wherein the annexin is in a dosage form selected from a group consisting of a powder, granules, capsules, an injection, a tincture, an oral liquid, tablets, a lozenge, a powder mist, an aerosol, and aspray.

### Claim 39 (depends on 38)

The method of claim 38, wherein the injection is an intravenous injection, an intramuscular injection, a subcutaneous formulation, or a respiratory administration formulation.

### Claim 40 (depends on 21)

The method of claim 21, wherein the administrating annexin is by oral administration, parenteral (intravenous and intramuscular) administration, and local administration.
