Location-based service access for vehicle-to-everything (v2x) systems

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• a processor;
• memory coupled with the processor;
• and
• instructions stored in the memory and executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
• generating, by a roadside unit, an indication of a network address associate with a location-based service;
• and
• broadcasting, by the roadside unit and to one or more user equipments (UEs), a sidelink message comprise the indication of the network address, the network address for accessing the location-based service over a connection with a network device based at least in part on a location of the one or more UEs.

A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• receiving, from a roadside unit, a sidelink message comprising an indication of a network address associated with a location-based service;
• accessing the location-based service over a connection with a network device, wherein the location-based service is accessed using the network address received from the roadside unit and based at least in part on a location of the UE;
• and
• receiving location-based information from the location-based service over the connection with the network device.
