Distributed storage systems and methods

A computer-based content activation system comprising:

• a content database storing activatable content having content activation rules, including at least one rule based on location, having multiple activation conditions;
• at least one non-transitory computer-readable memory storing software instructions;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the content database and the at least one non-transitory computer-readable memory and that performs, upon execution of the software instructions, the operations of:
• obtaining a location of a mobile device based on sensor data from at least one sensor;
• receiving at least some of the activatable content by the mobile device upon satisfaction of the at least one rule based on location within the content activation rules;
• storing in a memory of the mobile device the at least some of the activatable content as inactive content;
• activating the inactive content as activated content upon satisfaction of the content activation rules of the corresponding at least some of the activatable content based on at least the location and movement of the mobile device;
• and
• enabling the mobile device to conduct a transaction with the activated content once activated.

A non-transitory computer-readable memory (CRM) storing software instructions thereon that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations to:

• obtain a location of a mobile device based on sensor data from at least one sensor;
• receive at least some of activatable content by the mobile device upon satisfaction of at least one rule based on location within content activation rules;
• store in a memory of the mobile device the at least some of activatable content as inactive content;
• activate the inactive content as activated content upon satisfaction of the content activation rules of the corresponding at least some of the activatable content based on at least a location and movement of the mobile device;
• and
• enable the mobile device to conduct a transaction with the activated content once activated.

A method comprising:

• obtaining a location of a mobile device based on sensor data from at least one sensor;
• receiving at least some of activatable content by the mobile device upon satisfaction of at least one rule based on location within content activation rules;
• storing in a memory of the mobile device the at least some of activatable content as inactive content;
• activating the inactive content as activated content upon satisfaction of the content activation rules of the corresponding at least some of the activatable content based on at least a location and movement of the mobile device;
• and
• enabling the mobile device to conduct a transaction with the activated content once activated.
