Abstract
Methods and systems are provided for use with digital data processing systems to control or otherwise limit access to networked resources based, at least in part, on transactional artifacts and/or derived artifacts. The transactional artifacts and/or derived artifacts are processed based on transactional relationships between devices within the digital data processing systems.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a first device associated with a content provider, a credential from a second device associated with a user, wherein the credential is generated by the second device by processing a second artifact based on a first transactional history between the second device and the first device, and wherein the first transactional history is maintained by the second device;
- generating a verifier, by the first device, by processing a first artifact based on a second transactional history between the first device and the second device maintained by the first device;
- and
- comparing the credential to the verifier to determine whether a transaction between the first device and the second device should be allowed.

A system comprising:
- a first device associated with a content provider and configured to receive from a second device associated with a user a credential, the credential being generated by processing a second device artifact based on a first transactional history between the second device and the first device maintained by the second device, wherein
- the first device is operatively coupled to a tester configured to compare the credential to a verifier generated by the first device by processing a first device artifact based on a second transactional history between the first device and the second device maintained by the first device to determine whether a transaction between the first device and the second device should be allowed.
