Abstract
A junction box includes an enclosable housing with sidewalls and a bottom with a bottom interior surface and a bottom exterior surface opposing the bottom interior surface. The housing is configured to mount to a roof of a structure and the roof includes a slope. The junction box includes an indicia on a sidewall of the housing. The indicia indicates a side area suitable for creating a hole to permit a connector to be attached to the housing. The junction box includes a flashing attached to the housing and extending horizontally from the housing in a direction planar to the bottom.
Claims20
A junction box comprising:
- an enclosable housing comprising sidewalls and a bottom with a bottom interior surface and a bottom exterior surface opposing the bottom interior surface, the housing configured to mount to a roof of a structure, the roof comprising a slope;
- an indicia on a sidewall of the housing, the indicia indicating a side area suitable for creating a hole to permit a connector to be attached to the housing;
- and
- a flashing attached to the housing and extending horizontally from the housing in a direction planar to the bottom.
A junction box comprising:
- an enclosable housing comprising sidewalls and a bottom attached to the sidewalls, an exterior side of the bottom is configured to be mounted to a roof of a structure;
- an indicia on a sidewall of the housing, the indicia indicating a side area suitable for creating a hole to permit a connector to be attached to the housing;
- and
- a drill zone marking on a bottom interior surface of the bottom along a perimeter of an interior central area of the bottom interior surface and/or within the interior central area.
A junction box comprising:
- an enclosable housing comprising sidewalls and a bottom with a bottom interior surface and a bottom exterior surface opposing the bottom interior surface, the housing configured to mount to a roof of a structure, the roof comprising a slope;
- an indicia on a sidewall of the housing, the indicia indicating a side area suitable for creating a hole to permit a connector to be attached to the housing;
- and
- a sealant guide and/or a sealant disposed on the bottom exterior surface, the sealant guide and/or the sealant surrounding an exterior central area of the bottom exterior surface, the sealant surrounding at least an upper portion and side portions of the exterior central area, wherein the upper portion is oriented toward an upper side of the bottom with respect to the slope of the roof.
