A method for managing information performed by a computer, the computer including a memory storing a first operating system and a second operating system, and a processor configured to store data in a storage area of the memory when the first operating system and the second operating system are being executed, where a first upper limit count is a number of times data is allowed to be stored in the storage area during execution of the first operating system, and a second upper limit count is a number of times data is allowed to be stored in the storage area during execution of the second operating system, the method comprising:
- calculating a first remaining rate that is a rate of a remaining number of times data is allowed to be written to the storage area during execution of the first operating system relative to the first upper limit count with the processor;
- calculating a total remaining rate that is a rate of a remaining number of times data is allowed to be written to the storage area during execution of the first operating system and the second operating system relative to a total upper limit count obtained by adding the first upper limit count to the second upper limit count with the processor;
- and
- changing a value of the first remaining rate to a value of the total remaining rate with the processor when the first remaining rate is greater than the total remaining rate.
