Abstract
A method of monitoring performance of an ostomy device includes monitoring moisture information with a monitor device attachable to a sensor and transferring the moisture information from the monitor device to an accessory device.
Claims15
A method of monitoring performance of an ostomy device, the method comprising:
- providing an ostomy appliance comprising a sensor and a base plate, where the base plate is attachable to skin of a user by an adhesive disposed on a proximal side of the base plate and the sensor is distal of the adhesive;
- providing a monitor device electrically attachable to the sensor of the ostomy appliance;
- monitoring, with the sensor, moisture information sensed between the skin of the user and the adhesive on the proximal side of the ostomy appliance;
- collecting the moisture information with the monitor device;
- and
- transferring, with the monitor device, the moisture information to an accessory device.
