Abstract
A device for transcutaneous insertion comprising a flexible insertion piece for transcutaneous insertion. The flexible insertion piece has a deformation sensor for detecting one or more deformation signals. Also disclosed is a transcutaneous insertion system having the device for transcutaneous insertion and a method of detecting deformation of at least a part of the insertion piece of a device for transcutaneous insertion.

- a flexible insertion piece configured for transcutaneous insertion;
