Abstract
A cell switch-off method, a terminal device, a network device, and a storage medium, used for reducing the signaling overhead of switching off a first cell, such that the network device achieves fast energy saving. The method comprises: a terminal device receives an indication message sent by a network device, the indication message being used for indicating that the network device will close a first cell.

A method of shutting down a cell, comprising:
- receiving, by a terminal device, an indication message sent from a network device, wherein the indication message is configured to indicate that the network device will shut down a first cell.
A terminal device, comprising:
- a memory, storing executable program codes;
- and
- a transceiver, coupled to the memory;
- wherein the transceiver is configured to receive an indication message sent from a network device, wherein the indication message is configured to indicate that the network device will shut down a first cell.
