Abstract
A communication method and apparatus includes: a terminal device that receives a first message from a first network device, wherein the first message comprises handover indication information and identification information of a second network device. The handover indication information is used to indicate the terminal device to perform cell handover, and the terminal device hands over from the first network device to the second network device based on the first message.
Claims20
A communication method comprising:
- receiving, by a terminal device, a first message from a first network device, wherein the first message comprises handover indication information and identification information of a second network device, and the handover indication information is used to indicate the terminal device to perform processing for cell handover;
- and
- performing processing, by the terminal device, for handing over the terminal device from the first network device to the second network device based on the first message.
A communication method comprising:
- generating, by a first network device, a first message, wherein the first message comprises handover indication information and identification information of a second network device, and the handover indication information is used to indicate a terminal device to perform processing for cell handover;
- and
- sending, by the first network device, the first message to the terminal device.
A communication apparatus comprising a processor and a transceiver;
- the transceiver is configured to receive a first message from a first network device, wherein the first message comprises handover indication information and identification information of a second network device, and the handover indication information is used to indicate the communication apparatus to perform processing for cell handover;
- and
- the processor is configured to perform processing for handing over the communication apparatus from the first network device to the second network device based on the first message.
