Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving protocol data unit-related information in wireless lan system

A first station (STA) apparatus in a wireless local area network system, the apparatus comprising:

• at least one transceiver;
• and
• at least one processor connected to the at least one transceiver,
• wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
• transmit, through the at least one transceiver to a second STA, first information, second information, and third information related to a maximum length for an aggregate-medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) (A-MPDU);
• and
• receive, through the at least one transceiver from the second STA, in an extreme high throughput (EHT) physical layer PDU (PPDU), an A-MPDU having a length equal to or smaller than the maximum length for the A-MPDU calculated based on a value of the first information, a value of the second information, and a value of the third information,
• wherein the first information corresponds to a maximum A-MPDU length exponent subfield of a very high throughput (VHT) capabilities element, or a maximum A-MPDU length exponent subfield of a high efficiency (HE) 6 GHz band capabilities element,
• wherein the second information corresponds to a maximum A-MPDU length exponent extension subfield of an HE capabilities element,
• wherein the third information corresponds to a maximum A-MPDU length exponent extension subfield of an EHT capabilities element, and
• wherein the maximum length for the A-MPDU is a maximum length for the A-MPDU pre-end of frame (pre-EOF) padding.

A second station (STA) apparatus in a wireless local area network system, the apparatus comprising:

• at least one transceiver;
• and
• at least one processor connected to the at least one transceiver,
• wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
• receive, through the at least one transceiver from a first STA, first information, second information, and third information related to a maximum length for an aggregate-medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) (A-MPDU);
• and
• transmit, through the at least one transceiver to the first STA, in an extreme high throughput (EHT) physical layer PDU (PPDU), an A-MPDU having a length equal to or smaller than the maximum length for the A-MPDU calculated based on a value of the first information, a value of the second information, and a value of the third information,
• wherein the first information corresponds to a maximum A-MPDU length exponent subfield of a very high throughput (VHT) capabilities element, or a maximum A-MPDU length exponent subfield of a high efficiency (HE) 6 GHz band capabilities element,
• wherein the second information corresponds to a maximum A-MPDU length exponent extension subfield of an HE capabilities element,
• wherein the third information corresponds to a maximum A-MPDU length exponent extension subfield of an EHT capabilities element, and
• wherein the maximum length for the A-MPDU is a maximum length for the A-MPDU pre-end of frame (pre-EOF) padding.
