Abstract
A method of processing media data. The method includes fusing a plurality of intermediate filtering results of an adaptive loop filter (ALF) processing unit with a fusion mode to generate a final filtering result; and performing a conversion between a video including the ALF processing unit and a bitstream of the video based on the final filtering result. A corresponding video coding apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium are also disclosed.
Claims20
A method for processing video data, comprising:
- fusing, during a conversion between a video comprising an adaptive loop filter (ALF) processing unit and a bitstream of the video, a plurality of intermediate filtering results of the ALF processing unit with an ALF fusion mode to generate a final filtering result;
- and
- performing the conversion based on the final filtering result.
An apparatus for processing video data, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a non-transitory memory with instructions thereon, wherein the instructions upon execution by the processor, cause the processor to:
- fuse, during a conversion between a video comprising an adaptive loop filter (ALF) processing unit and a bitstream of the video, a plurality of intermediate filtering results of the ALF processing unit with an ALF fusion mode to generate a final filtering result;
- and
- perform the conversion based on the final filtering result.
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a bitstream of a video which is generated by a method performed by a video processing apparatus, wherein the method comprises:
- fusing, for the video comprising an adaptive loop filter (ALF) processing unit, a plurality of intermediate filtering results of the ALF processing unit with an ALF fusion mode to generate a final filtering result;
- and
- generating the bitstream based on the final filtering result.
