Multi-layer ceramic capacitor and method for producing the same

A method for producing a multi-layer ceramic capacitor, comprising:

• forming a plurality of internal electrode layers, wherein each of the internal electrode layers is formed from a plurality of metal particles, and each of the metal particles includes:
• a nickel metal core;
• and
• an oxidized metal layer, completely covering the nickel metal core;
• forming a plurality of ceramic dielectric layers;
• alternately laminating the internal electrode layers and the ceramic dielectric layers to form a laminated stack;
• performing a sintering process to the laminated stack to form a laminated ceramic body, wherein the sintering process includes:
• performing a low temperature burn-out step;
• and
• performing a high temperature sintering step, and
• wherein the oxidized metal layer of each of the metal particles is reduced to a metal layer during the high temperature sintering step;
• and
• respectively forming a terminal electrode on two ends of the laminated ceramic body to obtain the multi-layer ceramic capacitor.
