Abstract
An image processing apparatus controls a display device to display a preview of a scanned image; designates a first region where masking is applied to the scanned image; and designates a second region including character information to be used for storing the scanned image, wherein, in a case that there is an overlapping region in which the first region and the second region overlap, the overlapping region is displayed on the preview so that a user is able to recognize the overlapping region.
Claims12
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- one or more memory that stores instructions;
- and
- one or more processor that executes the instructions to:
- control a display device to display a preview of a scanned image;
- designate a first region where masking is applied to the scanned image;
- and
- designate a second region including character information to be used for storing the scanned image,
- wherein, in a case that there is an overlapping region in which the first region and the second region overlap, the overlapping region is displayed on the preview so that a user is able to recognize the overlapping region.
An image processing method for controlling an apparatus to perform:
- displaying a preview of a scanned image on a display device;
- designating a first region where masking is applied to the scanned image;
- designating a second region including character information to be used for storing the scanned image;
- and
- displaying an overlapping region on the preview so that a user is able to recognize the overlapping region in a case that there is the overlapping region in which the first region and the second region overlap.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to perform:
- displaying a preview of a scanned image on a display device;
- designating a first region where masking is applied to the scanned image;
- designating a second region including character information to be used for storing the scanned image;
- and
- displaying an overlapping region on the preview so that a user is able to recognize the overlapping region in a case that there is the overlapping region in which the first region and the second region overlap.
