The present invention relates to a pyroelectric infrared detector device comprising: an arrangement of a plurality of pyroelectric elements electrically coupled in series each with a same polarization direction; and a pre-amplification circuit for operating the arrangement of the plurality of pyroelectric clements to generate an output voltage.
