Sensor Region of Interest Selection Based on Multisensor Data

A system comprising:

• a first sensor;
• a second sensor;
• and
• control circuitry configured to perform operations comprising:
• obtaining, from the first sensor and at a first time, first sensor data representing an environment;
• determining, based on the first sensor data, information associated with a feature of interest within the environment;
• transmitting the information to the second sensor by way of a peer-to-peer connection between the first sensor and the second sensor, wherein a field of view of the second sensor corresponds to an expected position of the feature of interest within the environment at a second time later than the first time;
• and
• obtaining, from the second sensor, second sensor data captured based on the information.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by a computing device, cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:

• obtaining, from a first sensor and at a first time, first sensor data representing an environment;
• determining, based on the first sensor data, information associated with a feature of interest within the environment;
• transmitting the information to a second sensor by way of a peer-to-peer connection between the first sensor and the second sensor, wherein a field of view of the second sensor corresponds to an expected position of the feature of interest within the environment at a second time later than the first time;
• and
• obtaining, from the second sensor, second sensor data captured based on the information.
