The invention relates to a composite pressure vessel (1) with a liner (2) made of plastic, at least one end boss (4) arranged in the region of the opening of the pressure vessel (1) and an outer layer (3) of a fiber composite material. The end boss (4) has a through hole (5) and is used for connecting a valve. The liner (2) has an axial tubular neck portion (14) with a mouth at its axial end, which extends into the end boss (4) and is provided on its outer side with an external thread (15) and a thread-free region. The external thread is screwed into an internal thread of the through hole (5) of the end boss (4). To optimize sealing, an inner wall of the end boss (4) in contact with the thread-free region of the neck portion (14) has at least two annular grooves (10, 11) arranged at an axial distance from one another, wherein two sealing rings (16, 17) are arranged in the annular grooves (10, 11). A first sealing ring (16) is made of a first material that seals at low temperatures, and a second sealing ring (17) is made of a second material that has low gas permeability.
