It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a resin composition that is excellent in tracking resistance performance and that can be used to produce a molded article provided with rigidity. A polyphenylene ether resin composition includes (a) a resin component; (b) titanium oxide; and (c) an inorganic filler. The (c) inorganic filler has a thermal conductivity of 2 to 12 [W/(m·K)]. The (a) resin component contains 50 to 90 parts by mass of (a1) a polyphenylene ether in 100 parts by mass of the (a) resin component. The amount of the (b) titanium oxide is 5 to 40 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the (a) resin component. The amount of the (c) inorganic filler is 5 to 50 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the (a) resin component. The mass ratio of the (b) titanium oxide to the (c) inorganic filler ((b)/(c)) is 0.2 to 8.0.
