Abstract
A child car seat alert system for indicating the presence of child in a vehicle is disclosed. The system further detects a first state and a second state of the vehicle. The first state refers to the vehicle in a parked state and the presence of a caretaker in the vehicle. The second state refers to the vehicle in a parked state and the absence of the caretaker in the vehicle. The system activates an alarm module on detecting the child in the seat and the seatbelt fastened to the seat. The system prompts the alarm module to provide a first alert on detecting the first state to remind the caretaker to collect the child while exiting the vehicle. The system prompts the alarm module to provide a second alert on detecting the second state to indicate the child is left unattended in the vehicle.
