Abstract
This water-absorbent resin particle production device is provided with a dryer, a classifier, and a sorter. The dryer is for drying a water-absorbent resin composition to obtain water-absorbent resin precursors. The classifier is for classifying the water-absorbent resin precursors to obtain water-absorbent resin particles. The sorter is disposed on a pathway connecting the dryer and the classifier. The sorter is configured to select water-absorbent resin precursors having a water content of 20% or more.

A water-absorbent resin particle production device comprising:
- a dryer configured to dry a water-absorbent resin composition to provide a water-absorbent resin precursor;
- a classifier configured to classify the water-absorbent resin precursor to provide water-absorbent resin particles;
- and
- a sorter disposed on a pathway connecting the dryer and the classifier,
- wherein the sorter is configured to select a portion of the water-absorbent resin precursor having a water content of 20% or more.
A method for producing water-absorbent resin particles, the method comprising:
- drying a water-absorbent resin composition to provide a water-absorbent resin precursor;
- selecting and removing a portion of the water-absorbent resin precursor, the portion having a water content of 20% or more, from the water-absorbent resin precursor;
- and
- classifying the remaining portion of the water-absorbent resin precursor to provide classified water-absorbent resin particles.
