Abstract
Hydrocarbon condensate detection and control. The hydrocarbon condensate detection and control system includes detecting hydrocarbon in an aqueous mixture and controlling the flow of the aqueous mixture based on the hydrocarbon content of the aqueous mixture.
Claims20
A hydrocarbon detection and control system for an aqueous mixture, comprising:
- a controller having at least one input and at least one output;
- a hydrocarbon sensor coupled to a first input of the controller, the hydrocarbon sensor sensing presence of hydrocarbon in an aqueous mixture and providing a signal to the controller commensurate with an amount of hydrocarbon in the aqueous mixture;
- and a control device coupled to the controller output, the control device modifying flow of the aqueous mixture.
A multi-input pipeline hydrocarbon detection and control system, comprising:
- a plurality of pipelines, each to receive aqueous process fluid from a single separate unloading station and discharge that aqueous process fluid into a common manifold pipeline, each unloading station having a processor containing instructions which, when executed by the processor cause the processor to;
- receive a hydrocarbon content signal from a hydrocarbon content sensor, the hydrocarbon content signal indicating an amount of hydrocarbon content in the aqueous process fluid;
- and
- transmit a control signal to a control device coupled to an output, the control device to modify flow of the aqueous process fluid.

A method of detecting hydrocarbon in an aqueous mixture and controlling flow of that aqueous mixture, comprising:
- receiving a hydrocarbon content signal from a hydrocarbon content sensor disposed in an aqueous mixture;
- calculating hydrocarbon content of the aqueous mixture from the sensed hydrocarbon content sensor;
- and
- controlling the flow of the aqueous mixture based on the hydrocarbon content of the aqueous mixture.
