A method for treating a core material, the method comprising:
- drying at least a core material selected from the group consisting of balsa wood, PVC foam, SAN foam, polyurethane foam, PS foam, PMI foam and PET foam;
- and
- at least partially covering the at least the core material with at least a desiccant.
