Abstract
A non-aqueous electrolyte solution for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery having improved high temperature durability by including the same is described herein. Specifically, the non-aqueous electrolyte solution may comprise a lithium salt, a non-aqueous organic solvent and a compound represented by Formula 1 as an additive: wherein R is described herein.

A non-aqueous electrolyte solution for a lithium secondary battery, the non-aqueous electrolyte solution comprising a lithium salt, a non-aqueous organic solvent and a compound represented by Formula 1 as an additive:
- wherein in Formula 1,
- R is a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms.
