Abstract
A sensor for sensing direction of fluid-flow, the sensor comprising: a heating element; a first active temperature sensing element; and a processor; wherein the processor is configured to: receive a first signal corresponding to a first sensed temperature from the first active temperature sensing element; and determine a direction of fluid-flow based on a difference between the first sensed temperature and a threshold value. A method for sensing direction of fluid-flow and a method for manufacturing a sensor are also described.

A sensor for sensing direction of fluid-flow, the sensor comprising:
- a heating element;
- a first active temperature sensing element;
- and
- a processor;
- wherein the processor is configured to:
- receive a first signal corresponding to a first sensed temperature from the first active temperature sensing element;
- and
- determine a direction of fluid-flow based on the first signal corresponding to the first sensed temperature and a threshold value.
A method for sensing direction of fluid-flow, the method comprising:
- operating a heating element in a fluid-flow path;
- receiving a signal corresponding to a first sensed temperature;
- and
- determining a direction of fluid-flow based on the first sensed temperature and a threshold value.
A method of manufacturing a sensor for sensing direction of fluid-flow, the method comprising:
- providing a heating element;
- providing a first active temperature sensing element;
- configuring the first active temperature sensing element to sense a first sensed temperature;
- providing a processor;
- and
- configuring the processor to receive a first signal corresponding to the first sensed temperature from the first active temperature sensing element, and to determine a direction of fluid-flow based on the first sensed temperature and a threshold value.
