Abstract
A modular gas processing system built with various gas processing modules and cubes improve transportability and customization. Individual gas processing modules and cubes can be included or removed in multiple combinations for customization because each module has a common interconnection point for connecting to any other gas processing module and cube.
Claims22
A modular gas processing system, comprising:
- a low-pressure regulating module comprising:
- a low-pressure regulating module housing defining a low-pressure regulating module profile;
- a low-pressure gas inlet disposed within the low-pressure regulating module housing;
- a low-pressure gas outlet disposed within the low-pressure regulating module housing;
- a low-pressure module pressure regulating valve disposed within the low-pressure regulating module housing and in fluid communication with the low-pressure gas inlet and the low-pressure gas outlet, wherein the low-pressure module pressure regulating valve is configured to reduce a low-pressure inlet gas pressure to a low-pressure outlet gas pressure;
- and
- a hose reel module comprising:
- a hose reel module housing defining a hose reel module profile substantially similar to the low-pressure regulating module profile;
- a header disposed within the hose reel module housing and comprising a header inlet and a plurality of header outlets, wherein the header inlet is in fluid communication with the low-pressure gas outlet of the low-pressure regulating module;
- and
- a plurality of hose assemblies each disposed within the hose reel module housing, each hose assembly comprising:
- a rotatable reel;
- and
- a hose configured to be disposed at least partially around the reel and in fluid communication with a respective header outlet of the header.

A gas hydration regulating module, comprising:
- a hydrated gas inlet;
- a dehydrated gas outlet;
- and
- a plurality of contactors fluidly connected in a series, wherein the plurality of contactors are in fluid communication with the hydrated gas inlet and the dehydrated gas outlet, the plurality of contactors each defining a contactor height, wherein a total contactor height is defined by a sum of the contactor height of each of the plurality of contactors, the total contactor height defines a dehydration capacity of the plurality of contactors, and the plurality of contactors are configured to remove moisture from a hydrated gas flow from the hydrated gas inlet and direct dehydrated gas to the dehydrated gas outlet.

A gas distribution hose reel module, the module comprising:
- a header comprising a header inlet and a plurality of header outlets;
- and
- a plurality of isolated hose assemblies, each hose assembly comprising:
- a rotatable reel;
- an electric motor configured to rotate the reel;
- and
- a flexible hose configured to be disposed at least partially around the reel and in fluid communication with a respective header outlet of the header.

A method to process gas, the method comprising:
- connecting a gas source to an input of a low-pressure regulating module to provide a source gas to the low-pressure regulating module, wherein the source gas comprises a source gas parameter;
- regulating pressure of the source gas via a pressure regulator of the low-pressure regulating module;
- directing the source gas through an output of the low-pressure regulating module;
- connecting a supplemental processing module to the input or an outlet of the low-pressure regulating module in response to the source gas parameter;
- and
- processing the source gas via the supplemental processing module in response to the source gas parameter.
