Claims10
A device for marking a corneal surface, the device comprising:
- a planar base having a central opening;
- a single marker extending across the central opening and configured to physically contact the corneal surface when the device is pressed over the corneal surface.
A method for marking a corneal surface using a device comprising a single marker, the method comprising:
- providing the device with a coloring agent applied to the single marker, wherein the device comprises:
- a planar base having a central opening;
- and
- the single marker extending across the central opening and configured to physically contact the corneal surface when the device is pressed over the corneal surface;
- aligning the device with respect to the corneal surface;
- pressing the device over the corneal surface such that the single marker physically contacts the corneal surface to transfer a linear marking of the coloring agent across the corneal surface;
- and
- removing the device from the corneal surface.
