Abstract
Techniques for performance measurements related to application triggering and short message service (SMS) over non-access stratum (NAS) including obtaining raw performance measurements from one or more network functions in a wireless communication network, the one or more network functions including at least one of a network exposure function (NEF) or an access and mobility management function (AMF), and generating performance measurements for the one or more network functions based on the raw performance measurements.

A method, comprising:
- obtaining data indicative of a response to a trigger request in a wireless communication network;
- and
- performing measurements based on the data, wherein at least one of the measurements comprises a number of trigger requests rejected for delivery, and wherein performing the at least one of the measurements comprises incrementing a subcounter per error code based on the data.
An apparatus, comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one computer-readable storage device storing instructions executable by the at least one processor to cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
- obtaining data indicative of a response to a trigger request in a wireless communication network;
- and
- performing measurements based on the data, wherein at least one of the measurements comprises a number of trigger requests accepted for delivery.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions executable by at least one processor to cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
- obtaining data indicative of a report of a delivery result for a trigger in a wireless communication network;
- and
- performing measurements based on the data, wherein at least one of the measurements comprises a number of trigger delivery reports, and wherein performing the at least one of the measurements comprises incrementing a subcounter per delivery result based on the data.
