Abstract
An epistaxis clip is a molded plastic clip with bilateral wings lined with high absorption capacity foam. This disposable, single-use clip is inserted into the anterior nasal cavity to provide pressure and absorption to treat anterior epistaxis. The wings of the clip can be locked or biased together to ensure sufficient pressure is achieved.
Claims20
An epistaxis clip, comprising:
- a pair of arms connected to one another by a hinge, each pair of arms include a wing at a first end and a pinch tab at a second end;
- and
- a pair of absorbent pads are supported by the wing of each of the pair of arms.
