Apparatus, system, and method of a multi-mode power amplifier

A wireless communication device comprising:

• a processor to process data;
• one or more antennas;
• and
• a transmitter to transmit wireless communication signals via the one or more antennas based on the data, wherein the transmitter comprises:
• a multi-mode power amplifier switchable between a plurality of power modes to generate an output signal based on an input in a first voltage domain, wherein the multi-mode power amplifier is configured to provide the output signal in the first voltage domain at a first power mode, and to provide the output signal in a second voltage domain at a second power mode, wherein a maximal voltage of the second voltage domain is at least two times a maximal voltage of the first voltage domain.

An apparatus comprising:

• a multi-mode power amplifier switchable between a plurality of power modes to generate an output signal based on an input in a first voltage domain, wherein the multi-mode power amplifier comprises:
• means for providing the output signal in the first voltage domain at a first power mode;
• and
• means for providing the output signal in a second voltage domain at a second power mode, wherein a maximal voltage of the second voltage domain is at least two times a maximal voltage of the first voltage domain.
