Pharmaceutical compositions and methods of their use are provided for reducing inflammation in a subject, blocking leukocyte recruitment, inhibiting tumor metastasis, treating sepsis and preventing/reducing acute kidney injury.

A method for treating inflammation or blocking leucocyte recruitment in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering an effective amount of a compound that binds to DPEP-1 to the subject, thereby treating inflammation or blocking leucocyte recruitment.
A method for reducing or preventing tumor metastasis in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering an effective amount of a DPEP-1 binding agent, thereby reducing or preventing tumor metastasis.
