Locking washer and method for producing same, and screw connection using such a locking washer

A method for producing a lock washer for a screw connection, the lock washer having an annular washer body that is delimited by a peripheral outer edge and an inner edge, wherein the inner edge delimits a receiving hole, and having a toothing provided on an upper ring surface and a lower ring surface, and the toothing extending over an entire periphery of the upper ring surface and the lower ring surface, the method comprising:

• a. a pilot hole is punched into a flat, band-like material, having a plane, with a first punching tool, and,
• b. a bowl having a top side and a underside, is shaped with an embossing stamp and a counterstamp, a tilted peripheral surface of said bowl being wider than the annular washer body of the lock washer, and the toothing is introduced into the tilted peripheral surface on the top side and the underside, and,
• c. the tilted peripheral surface is tilted at an angle (α) greater than or equal to 20° in relation to a plane of the band-like material by the embossing stamp, and,
• d. the pilot hole is punched onto a gauge block with a first punching stamp of a second punching tool, and,
• e. an outer edge of the annular washer body is punched onto a gauge block with a third punching tool by a second punching stamp, and the lock washer is guided out of the third punching tool by a punching die.

A screw connection comprising:

• a. at least one component and one screw partner, which are connected to each other by a screw part equipped with a countersunk head, and,
• b. a lock washer positioned between the at least one component and the screw part,
• c. wherein the lock washer comprises:
• i. an annular washer body that is delimited by a peripheral outer edge and an inner edge, wherein the inner edge delimits a receiving hole, and,
• ii. a toothing provided on an upper ring surface and a lower ring surface, the toothing extending over an entire periphery of the upper ring surface and the lower ring surface, and,
• iii. the annular washer body is positioned at an angle (α) greater than or equal to 20° in relation to a plane formed by a peripheral end edge of the peripheral outer edge.
