Abstract
An ozone injector device comprising a housing having a water passageway through the housing, an ozone inlet in fluid communication with the water passageway, a corona tube disposed within the housing and in fluid communications with the ozone inlet, and a clearing piston positioned to move into and out of the water passageway towards the ozone inlet, and configured to prevent flow of ozone into the water passageway.
Claims20
An ozone injector device, comprising:
- a) a housing having a water passageway, the water passageway defining an ozone outlet;
- b) a corona tube disposed within the housing and configured to generate ozone;
- c) an ozone inlet fitting coupled to the water passageway, the ozone inlet fitting defining an ozone inlet that is in fluid communication with the corona tube and the ozone outlet, the ozone inlet fitting configured to receive ozone generated by the corona tube and pass the ozone to the ozone outlet and into the water passageway;
- and
- d) a clearing piston positioned on a side surface of the water passageway opposite the ozone outlet, wherein the clearing piston is configured to pass through the water passageway into the ozone outlet to prevent flow of ozone into the water passageway.

- a) a housing having a water passageway defining a first longitudinal axis;
- b) a corona tube disposed within the housing and configured to generate ozone;
- c) an ozone inlet defined in the water passageway and in fluid communication with the corona tube;
- and
- d) a clearing piston defining a second longitudinal axis, the clearing piston positioned to move into and out of the water passageway perpendicular to the first longitudinal axis directly opposite the ozone inlet, the clearing piston configured to prevent flow of ozone into the water passageway.
