Abstract
A button system containing two pieces that snap and lock together to fasten multiple articles of clothing. The top piece is made of three distinct parts: a detachable ridged color-coded cover, a fastener that attaches said cover to a rotatable hinged plate, and a fastener that secures all three pieces of the top piece. The bottom piece is also made up of three distinct parts: a plate to receive the hinges from the top piece, a curved structure that connects the hinge/cavity plates to the article of clothing, and a rivet that attaches to the article of clothing and the snap and lock invention.
Claims18
A button system for fastening, said button system comprising:
- a top member, the top member comprising:
- a cover externally accessible for use as a pressure point,
- a top member plate comprising a first surface and a second surface, the top member plate configured to couple to the cover at the first surface, the top member plate comprising a plurality of hinges disposed on the second surface,
- wherein the top member plate comprises a top member plate diameter;
- a bottom member, the bottom member comprising a plurality of cavities, the plurality of cavities configured to receive the plurality of hinges, wherein each of the plurality of cavities comprises a space to allow each of the plurality of hinges a degree of rotation into a locked position, the bottom member further comprising an aperture extending though a center of the bottom member;
- and
- a rivet configured to extend through the aperture of the bottom member and couple with the top member.
A button system for fastening, said button system comprising:
- a top member, the top member comprising:
- a cover externally accessible for use as a pressure point,
- a top member plate comprising a first surface and a second surface, the top member plate configured to couple to the cover at the first surface, the top member plate comprising a plurality of hinges disposed on the second surface,
- wherein the top member plate comprises a top member plate diameter;
- a bottom member, the bottom member comprising a plurality of cavities, the plurality of cavities configured to receive the plurality of hinges, wherein each of the plurality of cavities comprises a space to allow each of the plurality of hinges a degree of rotation into a locked position, the bottom member further comprising an aperture extending though a center of the bottom member
- a rivet configured to extend through the aperture of the bottom member and couple with the top member;
- and
- an installation device disposed between the top member and the bottom member, the installation device comprising a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface, the top surface comprising a first recess and a second recess wherein the second recess is configured to receive the plurality of hinges of the top member plate.
