Abstract

The disclosure relates to a method performed by a wireless device, for receiving system information from a network node of a wireless communication system. The system information is received in a synchronization signal (SS) block of an SS burst set comprising at least one SS block. The system information is multiplexed with information providing a time index indicating which SS block of the SS burst set that is being received. The method comprises receiving the information providing the time index, and receiving the system information, which comprises descrambling the system information using a scrambling sequence generated based on the information providing the time index. The method also comprises determining an accuracy of the information providing the time index, based on an error-detection code related to the received system information. The disclosure also relates to corresponding network node method and apparatus.

Dependent claims

A method for transmitting system information from a network node to a wireless device of a wireless communication system, the system information being transmitted in a synchronization signal (SS) block of an SS burst set comprising at least one SS block, the method comprising:

the network node transmitting to the wireless device the system information multiplexed with information providing a time index and an error detection code related to the system information, the time index indicating which SS block of the SS burst set is being transmitted, and the system information being scrambled using a scrambling sequence generated based on the time index;
the wireless device descrambling the system information using the scrambling sequence generated based on the time index and
the wireless device determining whether the information providing the time index is accurate, based on the error-detection code.

A wireless communication system configured for transmission of system information in a synchronization signal (SS) block of an SS burst set comprising at least one SS block, the wireless configuration system comprising:

a network node configured to transmit, to a wireless device, the system information multiplexed with information providing a time index and an error detection code related to the system information, the time index indicating which SS block of the SS burst set is being transmitted, the system information being scrambled using a scrambling sequence generated based on the time index;
and
the wireless device, the wireless device being configured to descramble the system information using the scrambling sequence generated based on the time index and to determine whether the information providing the time index is accurate, based on the error-detection code.
