Hybrid digital-analog mmwave repeater/relay with full duplex

A system for transmitting millimeter wave signals, comprising:

• at least one repeater for communicating with a plurality of remote locations over millimeter wave communications links, wherein the at least one repeater further comprises:
• orthogonal function processing circuitry for applying a selected orthogonal function to transmitted signals, wherein the selected orthogonal function limits interference between the transmitted signals and the received signals at the at least one repeater;
• full-duplex transmission circuitry for processing the transmitted signals and the received signals over the millimeter wave communications links using full-duplex communications with the plurality of remote locations;
• and
• wherein the at least one repeater relays the millimeter wave signals between at least a first millimeter wave transceiver at a first one of the plurality of remote locations and a second millimeter wave transceiver at a second one of the plurality of remote locations.

A method for transmitting millimeter wave signals, comprising:

• receiving signals for transmission between a plurality of remote locations using at least one repeater over millimeter wave communications links;
• applying a selected orthogonal function to transmitted signals using orthogonal processing circuitry, wherein the selected orthogonal function limits interference between the transmitted signals and received signals at the at least one repeater;
• processing the transmitted signals and the received signals over the millimeter wave communications links using full-duplex communications with the plurality of remote locations;
• and
• relaying the millimeter wave signals between at least a first millimeter wave transceiver at a first one of the plurality of remote locations and a second millimeter wave transceiver at a second one of the plurality of remote locations.
