Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a belt that is rotatable, seamless, and configured to bear a toner image;
• a plurality of tension rollers configured to support the belt in a tensioned state, wherein the plurality of tension rollers includes an inner roller and an upstream roller disposed adjacent to and upstream of the inner roller in a rotation direction of the belt;
• an outer member disposed facing the inner roller, wherein the outer member abuts against an outer circumferential surface of the belt and forms a transfer unit configured to transfer the toner image from the belt to a recording medium;
• a pressing member contactable with an inner circumferential surface of the belt in a width direction of the belt at a position upstream of the inner roller and downstream of the upstream roller in the rotation direction of the belt, wherein the pressing member is capable of pressing the belt in a direction from the inner circumferential surface toward the outer circumferential surface;
• a holding mechanism that is movable and configured to hold the pressing member;
• a cam member configured to move the holding mechanism;
• and
• a cam follower member provided in the holding mechanism to be configured to be moved by the cam member,
• wherein the cam follower member is fixable to the holding mechanism at one of a first position and a second position different from the first position so that the position of the pressing member is adjustable relative to the cam member located at a predetermined position.
