Abstract
An automated segmentation system for medical imaging data segments data into muscle and fat volumes, and separates muscle volumes into discrete muscle group volumes using a plurality of models of the medical imaging data, and wherein the medical imaging data includes data from a plurality of imaging modalities.
Claims22
-20. (canceled)
A method for segmentation of a medical image comprising:
- receiving medical imaging data of a body part;
- determining a volume of the body part;
- segmenting the volume of the body part into at least muscle tissue;
- and
- segmenting the muscle tissue volume within the body part into a plurality of different muscle group volumes.
A computer-implemented system for quantifying the effects of severe spinal cord injury, comprising:
- at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium having computer program instructions stored thereon;
- and
- at least one processor configured to execute the computer program instructions causing the at least one processor to perform the following operations:
- receiving body part scan images of a medical imaging scan of a body part thigh;
- determining a volume of the body part;
- segmenting the volume of the body part into at least muscle tissue volume;
- and
- segmenting the muscle tissue volume of the body part into a plurality of different muscle group volumes.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having computer program instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform the following operations:
- receiving medical imaging data of a body part;
- determining a volume of the body part;
- segmenting the volume of the body part into at least muscle tissue volume;
- and
- segmenting the muscle tissue volume within the body part into a plurality of different muscle group volumes.
