Abstract
A hydrophobic aluminum nitride powder of the present invention has a hydrophobicity of 1 to 45. The carbon content derived from a hydrophobizing agent is in a range of 0.1 to 0.5 mass %, and the hydrophobizing agent is a silane compound.
Claims10
A hydrophobic aluminum nitride powder having a hydrophobicity of 1 to 45, wherein
- a carbon content derived from a hydrophobizing agent is in a range of 0.1 to 0.5 mass %, and
- the hydrophobizing agent is a silane compound.
A method for producing a hydrophobic aluminum nitride powder, comprising the following steps:
- preparing a nonhydrophobic aluminum nitride powder as a base powder;
- and
- mixing the base powder with a silane compound to surface-treat the base powder so that a hydrophobicity is 1 to 45 and a carbon content derived from the silane compound is in a range of 0.1 to 0.5 mass %.
