The present disclosure is related to the separation of chemical species using multiple liquid phases.

An ingestible composition, comprising delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol, wherein:
- the ingestible composition has a volume of at least 1 mm3;
- a molar ratio of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol to delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol within the ingestible composition is greater than or equal to 3:1;
- and
- the amount of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol within the ingestible composition is at least 0.01 wt %.

An ingestible composition, comprising delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and one or more additional cannabinoids, wherein:
- the ingestible composition has a volume of at least 1 mm3;
- a molar ratio of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol to the one or more additional cannabinoids is greater than or equal to 3:1;
- and
- the amount of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol within the ingestible composition is at least 0.01 wt %.
