Charging and discharging device, charging and discharging control method, and computer readable medium

A charging and discharging device comprising:

• a connector for connecting to an in-vehicle power line connected to an in-vehicle storage battery;
• one or more processors that processes to control charging and discharging in the in-vehicle storage battery;
• a memory that stores rewritable data used by the processor;
• a communication unit that communicates with an in-vehicle control device through the connector;
• and
• a higher-level communication unit that communicates with a higher-level control device;
• wherein the processor stores at least one of minimum and maximum values of each of a charging power value, a charging current value, a discharging power value, and a discharging current value in the memory;
• the processor determines at least one of minimum and maximum values of each of a charging power value, a charging current value, a discharging power value, and a discharging current value when performing charging and discharging with the in-vehicle storage battery, based on data transmitted to and from the in-vehicle control device for controlling charging and discharging;
• and
• the processor notifies the higher-level control device of either the determined values or the values read from the memory.

A method for controlling charging and discharging in an in-vehicle storage battery provided in a vehicle by a charging and discharging device provided outside the vehicle, the charging and discharging device capable of communicating with an in-vehicle control device of the vehicle and a higher-level control device, the charging and discharging control method comprising:

• storing, by a processor of the charging and discharging device, at least one of minimum and maximum values of each of a charging power value, a charging current value, a discharging power value, and a discharging current value in a memory provided at the charging and discharging device;
• determining, by the processor, at least one of minimum and maximum values of each of a charging power value, a charging current value, a discharging power value, and a discharging current value when performing charging and discharging with the in-vehicle storage battery, based on data transmitted to and from the in-vehicle control device for controlling charging and discharging;
• and
• notifying, by the processor, the higher-level control device of either the determined values or the values read from the memory through a higher-level communication unit.

A computer readable medium storing a computer program of controlling charging and discharging in an in-vehicle storage battery provided in a vehicle by a computer provided outside the vehicle, the computer capable of communicating with an in-vehicle control device of the vehicle and a higher-level control device, the computer program causing the computer to execute processes of:

• storing at least one of minimum and maximum values of each of a charging power value, a charging current value, a discharging power value, and a discharging current value in a memory included in the computer;
• determining at least one of minimum and maximum values of each of a charging power value, a charging current value, a discharging power value, and a discharging current value when performing charging and discharging with the in-vehicle storage battery, based on data transmitted to and from the in-vehicle control device;
• and
• notifying the higher-level control device of either the determined values or the values read from the memory.
