Abstract
A foam control agent and method of controlling foam for bioethanol processing by use of a foam control agent, wherein the agent comprises at least a (poly)glycerol ether.
Claims10
A foam control agent suitable for bioethanol fermentation processing, comprising a polyglycerol ether with the structure of:
- wherein m is an integer from 1 to 10 and R1, R2, and R3 each independently contain a number of carbon atoms from 0 to 30, wherein at least R1, R2, or R3 contain at least 1 carbon atom.
A method of controlling foam for bioethanol processing by use of a foam control agent, wherein the agent comprises at least a polyglycerol ether that has the structure of:
- wherein m is an integer from 1 to 10 and R1, R2, and R3 each independently contain a number of carbon atoms from 0 to 30, wherein at least R1, R2, or R3 contain at least 1 carbon atom.
