Head assembly for a skin treatment device

A skin treatment device that provides light and heat therapy to a user's skin, comprising:

• a body having a head;
• a cover member disposed at the head and having a top having a front and a back, the front being flat and configured to face outward from the therapeutic device, the back being opposite the front and having a central portion, an outside wall extending down from the front around a perimeter of the front around the entirety of the front, wherein the cover member is at least translucent;
• a printed circuit board (PCB) disposed at the back of the cover member, the PCB having a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) disposed on the PCB and arranged to emit light through the cover member, and wherein the LEDs are surrounded by the outside wall of the cover member, wherein the plurality of LEDs includes a first set of LEDs configured to generate heat and which are disposed in a circle adjacent the outside wall, and a second set of LEDs arranged in a circle within the first set of LEDs which are configured to generate visible light;
• and
• a passive heat element disposed in a circle between the first set of LEDs and the back of the cover member.
