Abstract
The subject matter described herein is directed to articles, compositions, systems, and methods of using and preparing bioceramic compositions and to the bioceramic compositions. A bioceramic composition of the disclosure radiates infrared energy or rays and can be used in the treatment of various conditions.
Claims35
A method of cultivating a plant, the method comprising cultivating the plant with a bioceramic composition, wherein the use of the bioceramic composition in the cultivation of the plant increases the absorbance of one or more nutrients by the plant, wherein the bioceramic composition comprises kaolinite (Al2Si2O5(OH)4), tourmaline, silicon dioxide (SiO2), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), and at least one additional oxide selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide (TiO2), zirconium dioxide (ZrO2), and magnesium oxide (MgO).
A method of cultivating a plant, the method comprising cultivating the plant with a composition comprising kaolinite (Al2Si2O5(OH)4), tourmaline, silicon dioxide (SiO2), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), and at least one additional oxide selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide (TiO2), zirconium dioxide (ZrO2), and magnesium oxide (MgO).

A method of decreasing a subject's inflammation, comprising contacting a surface of a subject with an article comprising a bioceramic, wherein the bioceramic comprises:
- kaolinite (Al2Si2O5(OH)4), tourmaline, silicon dioxide (SiO2), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), and at least one additional oxide selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide (TiO2), zirconium dioxide (ZrO2), and magnesium oxide (MgO)
A method of preparing an article comprising the steps of:
- a. preparing a bioceramic solution;
- and
- b. applying the solution to the article provided that the solution, when applied to the article, comprises about 20 wt % to about 80 wt % kaolinite (Al2Si2O5(OH)4);
- about 1 wt % to about 30 wt % tourmaline;
- about 1 wt % to about 40 wt % aluminum oxide (Al2O3);
- about 1 wt % to about 40 wt % silicon dioxide (SiO2);
- and from about 1 wt % to about 20 wt % zirconium oxide (ZrO2) further provided that the amounts are by total weight of the bioceramic composition.
A method of manufacturing an article comprising a bioceramic, wherein the method comprises a binder or solution application approach, wherein the bioceramic comprises:
- a. about 20 wt % to about 80 wt % kaolinite (Al2Si2O5(OH)4);
- b. about 1 wt % to about 30 wt % tourmaline;
- c. about 1 wt % to about 40 wt % aluminum oxide (Al2O3);
- d. about 1 wt % to about 40 wt % silicon dioxide (SiO2);
- and
- e. about 1 wt % to about 20 wt % zirconium oxide (ZrO2);
- provided that the amounts are by total weight of the bioceramic composition.
A cosmetic composition, wherein the cosmetic composition comprises a bioceramic comprising:
- a. about 20 wt % to about 80 wt % kaolinite (Al2Si2O5(OH)4);
- b. about 1 wt % to about 30 wt % tourmaline;
- c. about 1 wt % to about 40 wt % aluminum oxide (Al2O3);
- d. about 1 wt % to about 40 wt % silicon dioxide (SiO2);
- and
- e. about 1 wt % to about 20 wt % zirconium oxide (ZrO2), provided that the amounts are by total weight of the bioceramic composition;
- and
- at least one additive selected from:
- lotion, cream, mascara, masks, gel patch, oil, base, wax, emulsifying agent, or general make-up powder with various colors.
