Method And Apparatus For Positioning Of Laser Beam

A method, performed in a laser treatment apparatus, comprising:

• (a) acquiring an image;
• (b) identifying one or more objects of interest for laser treatment within the acquired image;
• (c) selecting a laser treatment area of the acquired image and dividing the laser treatment area into one or more laser processing lines;
• (d) determining one or more laser treatment regions within the laser processing line(s) based on the identified object(s) for laser treatment;
• and
• (e) treating the laser treatment region(s) with a laser beam.

A laser treatment apparatus, comprising:

• a camera configured to acquire an image;
• a laser configured to generate a laser beam;
• a laser beam positioning device configured to direct the laser beam;
• and
• an image processing unit configured to perform the steps of:
• (a) receive an image acquired by the camera;
• (b) identify one or more objects of interest for laser treatment within the acquired image;
• (c) select a laser treatment area of the acquired image and divide the laser treatment area into one or more processing lines;
• (d) determine one or more laser treatment regions within the laser processing line(s) based on the identified object(s) for laser treatment;
• and
• (e) control the laser and laser beam positioning device so as to treat the laser treatment regions(s) with the laser beam.

A method for positioning a laser, which includes following steps:

• a. image acquisition;
• b. identification of objects of interest in the image;
• c. division of the laser-treated area into treatment lines;
• d. calculation of the coordinates of the lines in physical space;
• and
• e. treatment of lines with a laser-generated laser beam.
